Including or Excluding Words
Mandate the inclusion or exclusion of various search terms. This can be done by including - or + in the search query.
Inclusion Example
+food stamps
Return information about food stamps (as opposed to other types of stamps).
Exclusion Example
immigration -laws
Return all pages that contain the word "immigration," as long as they do not contain the word "laws."
Hyphenated Words
Return the search page with all forms of the term, whether spelled as a single word, a phrase or hyphenated.
