The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has begun distributing disability benefits to Vietnam Veterans who qualify for compensation under recently liberalized rules for Agent Orange exposure. Up to 200,000 Vietnam Veterans may be eligible to receive VA disability compensation for medical conditions associated with Agent Orange. Veterans interested in applying for disability compensation based on chronic b-cell leukemias, Parkinson's disease, or ischemic heart disease should visit the Agent Orange Fast Track Claims Processing System or call 1-800-827-1000.
For more information on diseases associated with Agent Orange exposure, visit Agent Orange: Diseases Associated with Agent Orange Exposure (from the go to the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Public Health and Environmental Hazards).
