Introduction

The 2006 New Jersey Dental Clinic Directory is a reference tool that may be used to provide a central source of information on public dental clinic services in New Jersey. These clinic services are primarily provided by local health departments, hospitals and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s). Information in the document is from organizations that responded to a “Dental Health Services Survey”.

The dental clinic directory may be used to assist people who have difficulty accessing appropriate dental care due to insurance or financial constraints. Many of the clinics have financial and/or residency requirements. Patients should be advised to call for an appointment and ask about required documentation regarding income or residency.

Aditional resources include the New Jersey Foundation of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities’ Donated Dental Services program, which offers treatment for senior citizens and persons with developmental and permanent disabilities. Contact the Donated Dental Services program at (732) 549-8909 for southern and central New Jersey, and (732) 549-8506 for northern New Jersey for further information. In addition, the Regional Oral Health Programs, listed below, may be contacted for assistance.
