  • 2008-09 NCAA Sports Medicine Handbook - This National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) publication contains guidelines and recommendations for institutions to protect the health and safety of student athletes. The Handbook’s chapter, “Nutrition and Athletic Performance,” discusses nutritional health and the danger of eating disorders that are linked to college athletics. The chapter also recommends healthy weight-loss protocols for college athletes.
