New Jersey Cares for Kids Child Care Program (NJCK)

NJCK Program is a child care subsidy program for low-income parents who work or are in school full time. If you have children under age 13 or a special needs child under the age of 19, you may be eligible for the NJCK program. N.J.A.C. 10:15-1.3(a). You may also be eligible for child care services if you need child care in order to remain employed full time or accept full-time employment to avoid dependency on TANF. N.J.A.C. 10:15-5.2. Also, you may be eligible if you are in need of child care services in order to attend full-time educational or work training programs. N.J.A.C. 10:15-5.3.

In order to be eligible for the NJCK Program, you must meet the following family income eligibility requirements:

4

5

Under the NJCK Program, you have a choice as to where your child receives care. You must pay a co-payment, which will vary depending upon your family size and the amount of your income. N.J.A.C. 10:15-9.2. In order to receive benefits under the NJCK Program, you should contact your UCCA (see link below) and request an application.
