NJCK Program is a child care subsidy program for low-income parents who work or are in school full time. If you have children under age 13 or a special needs child under the age of 19, you may be eligible for the NJCK program. N.J.A.C. 10:15-1.3(a). You may also be eligible for child care services if you need child care in order to remain employed full time or accept full-time employment to avoid dependency on TANF. N.J.A.C. 10:15-5.2. Also, you may be eligible if you are in need of child care services in order to attend full-time educational or work training programs. N.J.A.C. 10:15-5.3.

Under the NJCK Program, you have a choice as to where your child receives care. Your child can receive child care from either a licensed child care center, a registered family day care provider, or an approved home, which may be a relative, friend, or neighbor. You must pay a co-payment, which will vary depending upon your family size and the amount of your income. N.J.A.C. 10:15-9.2.
