Birth Parents

  • DYFS, child abuse or neglect, and termination of parental rights

  • New Jersey Adoption Registry (from the New Jersey Department of Children and Families) - The New Jersey Adoption Registry keeps information about adopted children on file for the children themselves, or their adopted parents. Adopted children under the age of 18 can access this information with permission from their adoptive parents. Adult adopted children (over 18) can access this information on their own - for example, if they are trying to find their birth parents. This registry is only for persons adopted through or with the assistance of DYFS.
