Introduction

If you have a legal problem, you may need to get involved with the legal system. You may be handling the legal problem yourself, or you may hire a lawyer. This section contains links to Web sites that will help you find a lawyer and work with him or her or help you represent yourself. If you are representing yourself, the Lawsuits section contains forms you can use in court for civil lawsuits and appeals. This section will also help you understand how the state and federal court systems work and when you can solve a legal problem by mediation instead of a lawsuit. If your legal problem has to do with a criminal offense, you may also need to look at the Crime section of this Web site.
